How to Remove Your Social Media from Google Search Results

Are You tired of every thought, social media and personal information of yours, landing up on Google's search results page? Do you feel it is necessary to make your data private? Google allows you to request the removal of a page or a website from Google's search results. Here is how to do it:

Steps

  1. Get the URL of the page or website which you want to request the removal of. The URL can usually be found at the address bar (also known as, location bar or URL bar) of a browser.


  2. Go to Google's content removal page: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
  3. Log-in to your Google Account. If you don't have one, you will have to create a new one to access the content removal page.
    • A Google Account is the same as a Gmail Account.
  4. Click the Create a new removal request button and paste the link.


  5. On the next page that loads, you can remove cached content associated with the page/ website you're having removed. In order for Google to allow this, you'll need to provide a piece of information that appears on the cached version but not the live version.


  6. After submitting the information, you will see the status page load again detailing your request along with the date. At this step, you can also cancel the procedure.
  7. It is imperative that you know that all content removal requests are not successful. In case your request is not processed by Google, don't be dejected. There is always a next time!
  8. Wait. Even if your request if approved, there is no fixed time under which Google will remove the content. It could take a few days, or even few weeks.

  1. Create a Gmail account.

  2. Go to the Google Analytics website

  3. Sign in with your Gmail account.

  4. Click Sign Up.

  5. Name your website to help differentiate it from your other tracked sites.

  6. Copy and paste your web site URL. For example, www.yourwebsite.com or yourblog.blogspt.com

  7. Fill out the rest of the information required and click continue.

  8. Copy the tracking code displayed in the large box.

  9. Sign in to your Blogger.

  10. Click on the 'Template Tab,' then click on 'Edit HTML'
